Neil Wright
Neil has performed all over the US and Canada as a multi-instrumental musician on Keyboards, Alto/Tenor/Soprano Saxophones, Native American and standard flutes and as a vocalist. He writes and records music in his own recording studio. He has appeared with such artists as Ray Charles, Aaron Tippin, The Pointer Sisters, Joe Lewis Walker, Kenny Loggins and others.
Since moving from Philadelphia to the North Country 10 years ago, he has worked locally with various PB&J (P'burgh Blues & Jazz) artists, the Adirondack Jazz Orchestra, Adirondack Jazz Ensemble, The Duo and as a soloist. He has also appeared locally with the Phil Abair Band, Jewel, Josee Allard, Dawn Tyler Watson, Kevin Connelly, Thom Longware, Taylor LaValley and others.

While hiking one autumn morning with my dogs, we happened upon a grove of maple trees. Every tree in sight was the same species and the same brilliant shade of gold. With the sun blazing through a golden canopy above and the forest floor drenched in the same gilded leaves, the world was a glowing enchantment to the eyes. Then a voice whispered loudly in my head: "This is the Golden Ground".

Based on a children's prayer from 1737, each stanza's first line is prayer and the rest is from me. A romantic invocation that will last forever...

My future wife and I had been dating 6 months when we decided on a whim to go to see Arizona (from PA) - no particular reason or destination.
Driving through reservation land, my wife had a vision wherein a Native mystic told here we were meant to be together. Then a psychic lade told us the same in some rock shop.
On the way back home through the desert, a sudden rainstorm created a full rainbow - exactly centered on our path, which remained in place while we approached. Then it disappeared - POOF - as we went through it, which is impossible! We're still together...

Michael David Burns
My name is Michael David Burns, a local from Nicholville, embarking on my dream. As an artist, this all started for me years ago when in elementary school art class, my teacher set the initial stepping stones, inspiring a dream to capture and perpetuate the beauty and grace of creatures by painting their images on rocks. I've found that to truly bring life and preserve each unique creature, it requires the proverbial corner stone of... well... the perfect rock that captures the feel emitted by the original picture. Following this search and rescue operation, come the layers of paint and hours of time which give birth to, or resurrect a creature, freezing its moment in time.
My artist intuition, upheld by years of practice and expressed through fine brushes and acrylic paints, can create a piece for you, to live in your heart. I create original artworks for my clients, and often for their friends and family. When a one of my pieces touches the heart of another... my love for art is well spent... memorials, portraits, scenes, etc. these are the perfect gifts for animal lovers, and nature admirers. Treat another, or treat yourself!
I paint more than just stones, but canvas and wood as well, and my talent goes beyond portraying just animals, but landscapes, portraits, etc. Allow me to touch your heart...
